MOJi Dictionary User Agreement

Welcome to the MOJi Dictionary software and services provided by KROSEA Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “KROSEA” or “the Company”).

To use the MOJi Dictionary software and related services (hereinafter referred to as “the Platform” or “MOJi Dictionary”), you must read and comply with the MOJi Dictionary User Agreement (hereinafter referred to as “this Agreement”). Please read the terms carefully and ensure that you fully understand their content.

This Agreement is a contract between the user (hereinafter referred to as “User” or “you”) and the Platform. The Platform will provide services to you strictly in accordance with this Agreement. Unless you have fully read and accepted all the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to download, install, or use the Platform or related services. Your downloading, installation, use, acquisition of a MOJi account, or logging in to the Platform will be deemed as your acknowledgment that you have read and agreed to be bound by this Agreement.

If you are a minor, please read this Agreement together with a legal guardian and decide carefully whether to accept it, especially the provisions regarding minors. Actions taken by minors under this Agreement shall be deemed to have been approved by their guardians.

1. The Platform provides you with services including but not limited to the following:

   • The MOJi Dictionary website www.mojidict.com (and any other websites operated by MOJi Dictionary);
   • Client applications directly owned or operated by MOJi Dictionary, including PC, tablet, and mobile versions;
   • User personal center, personal collections, sharing, and user-generated content;
   • Dictionary search, browsing, vocabulary review, testing, and similar functions;
   • Various value-added services offered by MOJi Dictionary;
   • Other technologies or services provided by MOJi Dictionary;
   • Servers and network storage spaces directly owned or operated by MOJi Dictionary.
2. All services provided by MOJi Dictionary must be used within the Platform. Any act of maliciously separating the services from the Platform through illegal means such as cracking shall not be considered part of the services provided under this Agreement. All resulting consequences shall be borne solely by the responsible party, and MOJi Dictionary reserves the right to pursue legal liability.
3. MOJi Dictionary is for non-commercial use only. You may not sell, transfer, license, or otherwise provide any materials, services, or software related to MOJi Dictionary to any third party without prior written permission from KROSEA. If you provide suggestions or feedback to the Platform, you grant KROSEA a free right to use such suggestions in MOJi Dictionary (or its other products). MOJi Dictionary reserves the right to display commercial advertisements.
4. Registration, login, and downloading client applications only through official channels (including iOS and Android platforms) is the sole legitimate means of accessing MOJi Dictionary services. Any service (including accounts, membership, word lists, collections, downloads, user-created content, dictionary data, etc.) obtained through unofficial channels is considered illegal and invalid. MOJi Dictionary may delete, reset, revoke, or ban accounts obtained in such a manner. Users are responsible for safeguarding their accounts and passwords; MOJi Dictionary will not compensate for losses caused by account leakage or theft.
5. You understand and acknowledge that MOJi Dictionary enjoys the following rights, and MOJi’s exercise of such rights does not constitute a breach of contract: Users may use legally obtained MOJi Dictionary accounts and related content such as collections and user-created materials; however, users only enjoy usage rights. All ownership and intellectual property rights of the services, products, and derivatives belong to MOJi Dictionary. MOJi Dictionary may reclaim such rights to the maximum extent permitted by law without notifying or obtaining user consent.
6. MOJi Dictionary may modify, replace, or upgrade any software related to its services and will notify users (via pop-ups, homepage announcements, or system messages etc.). If you disagree, stop using the service immediately. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
7. “Users” include both registered and unregistered users. Anyone who downloads, installs, or uses MOJi Dictionary without registering becomes an unregistered user by default.
8. Special Reminder: As MOJi Dictionary offers a variety of products and services, the content and scope of the products and services provided to you may differ. This agreement constitutes the general user service terms that apply uniformly across MOJi Dictionary. For certain specific products or services of MOJi Dictionary, MOJi Dictionary may issue dedicated user service agreements to more clearly explain the relevant service content, rules, and other details. You should carefully read and fully agree to the terms of any such dedicated user service agreement before using the corresponding product or service.
9. Refunds: Charges already incurred are non-refundable. For special circumstances, please contact customer service within the app (Me → Contact Us).

If you use the Platform’s cloud storage space to upload or distribute text, images, or other content, you must register an account and set a password. You must ensure that your registration information is true, accurate, and complete, and update it when necessary. After completing the registration process, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You bear full responsibility for actions performed on your account. MOJi Dictionary cannot distinguish unauthorized use from authorized use; therefore, MOJi Dictionary assumes no responsibility. Simultaneously, you agree to:

1. Notify MOJi Dictionary immediately if your account or password is used without authorization or if any security issues arise;
2. Sign out safely after each login (especially when using public or others' devices);
3. Accept messages and notifications sent by MOJi Dictionary via email, app, webpages, or other lawful methods;

4. Not engage in the following actions during registration or use of a MOJi account:

   • Intentionally impersonating another person during registration;
   • Registering an account under another person’s name without authorization;
   • Stealing or illegally using another user’s account or membership;
   • Registering an account using insulting, defamatory, pornographic, political, or otherwise unlawful or immoral names or images;
   • Exploiting vulnerabilities for illegal use of MOJi Dictionary services;
   • Any act infringing upon the rights of others;
5. You agree that MOJi Dictionary may ban or delete accounts that violate these terms;
6. Your MOJi Dictionary account may log into all products under the MOJi ecosystem.

1. “Content” refers to any material you upload, transmit, or display on MOJi Dictionary, including videos, audio, images, text, and links;
2. For any original content you upload, you guarantee that you own the copyright or have legally obtained authorization. MOJi Dictionary has the right to display, distribute, and promote such content;
3. To improve exposure and distribution efficiency, you agree that all content you publish under your account may be automatically synchronized to all platforms and products operated by MOJi Dictionary or its affiliates;
4. Any information, materials, text, software, music, audio, photographs, graphics, video, messages, or other content (hereinafter referred to as “Content”) transmitted through services provided by MOJi Dictionary—whether by uploading, posting, emailing, or any other means, and whether publicly or privately—shall be the sole responsibility of the person who provides or uploads such Content;
5. Content on MOJi Dictionary is for reference only and may not be suitable for everyone. The Platform does not guarantee any specific results and is not liable for losses arising from use of such content;
6. MOJi Dictionary cannot foresee or reasonably control the Content uploaded through its services. Therefore, you acknowledge that when using MOJi Dictionary’s services, you may encounter material that you find unpleasant, objectionable, or offensive, and you agree to waive any claims against MOJi Dictionary arising therefrom. However, MOJi Dictionary reserves the right, in accordance with the law, to suspend the transmission of any such Content and take appropriate actions, including but not limited to suspending your access to part or all of MOJi Dictionary’s services, retaining relevant records, and reporting to the relevant authorities;
7. You are solely responsible for your actions conducted in MOJi Dictionary. If your use of MOJi Dictionary’s services violates this Agreement, MOJi Dictionary reserves the right to take independent measures, including suspending your account without prior notice or consent. If you disseminate or distribute content that is reactionary, pornographic, or otherwise in violation of national laws or regulations, MOJi Dictionary’s system records may serve as evidence of your breach of the applicable laws;

1. When using MOJi Dictionary’s services, users must comply with the following laws and regulations:

   • The Law of the People’s Republic of China on Guarding State Secrets
   • The Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China
   • The Regulations on the Protection of Computer Information Systems
   • The Regulations on the Protection of Computer Software
   • The Regulations on the Administration of Internet Electronic Bulletin Services
   • The Regulations on the Protection of the Right to Disseminate Information through the Internet
   • The Cybersecurity Law of the People’s Republic of China
   • Other relevant laws and regulations concerning computers and the Internet
2. MOJi Dictionary may terminate services at any time without prior notice if it reasonably believes your actions violate laws or regulations.

3. Users are prohibited from:

   • Creating, uploading, copying, transmitting, or distributing any content—including but not limited to information, materials, text, software, music, photographs, graphics, or other data—that is prohibited by laws or administrative regulations, such as content that: opposes the fundamental principles established by the Constitution; endangers national security; leaks state secrets; subverts state power; undermines national unity; damages national honor or interests; incites ethnic hatred or discrimination; violates national religious policies; promotes cults or feudal superstitions; is obscene, pornographic, related to gambling, violent, murderous, terrorist, or incites criminal activity; insults or defames others; or infringes upon the lawful rights and interests of others;
   • Harming minors;
   • Impersonating others or misrepresenting affiliation;
   • Forging information to mislead others into thinking content was sent by MOJi;
   • Uploading content that you do not have the right to transmit (including trade secrets and confidential information);
   • Uploading, posting, emailing, or otherwise transmitting content that infringes upon any person’s intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights;
   • Spreading advertisements, spam, or promotional materials;
   • Harassing others;
   • Uploading, posting, emailing, or otherwise transmitting any materials, software, code, files, or programs that interfere with, damage, or restrict the functionality of any computer software, hardware, or communication devices, including computer viruses or other malicious code;
   • Interfering with or disrupting MOJi services or the servers and networks connected to MOJi services, or failing to comply with the provisions of this Agreement;
   • Intentionally or unintentionally violating any applicable laws, regulations, rules, or other legally binding norms of the People’s Republic of China;
   • Without MOJi’s prior explicit written consent, using any means—including but not limited to bots, or any other automated programs, scripts, or software—or for any reason, personally or through others, to access, collect, or assist others in obtaining the services, content, or data of the platform;
   • If the content uploaded by the user contains any information or material that violates the above policies, laws, or regulations, the user shall bear all resulting adverse consequences. Should such content cause any negative impact to MOJi, the user shall be responsible for mitigating the impact and compensating for all resulting losses;
   • Users shall not, through any channel or media (including but not limited to self-media platforms), release any statements bearing the “MOJi Dict” brand, such as “in cooperation with MOJi Dict” or “co-produced with MOJi Dict.” If users need to promote or publicize the content of a collaboration, they may only mention the program itself and must not reference any relationship with MOJi or use the MOJi brand for promotion without authorization. Any promotional materials issued by the user that include the “MOJi” brand must obtain prior written consent from the relevant MOJi cooperation department. Otherwise, the user shall compensate MOJi for any resulting losses.
4. Regarding the simultaneous use of multiple devices, in order to protect the security of user accounts, MOJi will limit the number of devices that can be logged in to the same account at the same time. Any additional devices exceeding this limit will be automatically logged out.

The MOJi service may provide links to other international websites or resources. Unless otherwise stated, MOJi has no control over the services of third-party websites (including, but not limited to, website content quality, website access speed, etc.). MOJi shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of or reliance on such websites or resources. We recommend that you carefully review the terms of service and privacy policies of any websites or resources before leaving MOJi to access them.

1. Protected by international copyright conventions, the Copyright Law and Patent Law of the People’s Republic of China, and other intellectual property laws and regulations, all intellectual property rights in the MOJi service, as well as in the software, technology, trademarks, materials, and other content used in the service, are owned and exclusively held by MOJi. “Intellectual property rights” include any and all rights, ownership, and applications, updates, extensions, and restorations as defined under patent law, copyright law, trademark law, the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, and other applicable laws.
2. Users shall not modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the software, technology, materials, or other components used in the MOJi service, nor shall they obtain source code through reverse engineering, decompilation, disassembly, or other similar means. Any legal consequences arising from such actions shall be borne by the user, and MOJi reserves the right to pursue legal liability against the violator.
3. Users shall not maliciously modify, copy, or distribute the software, technology, materials, or other components used in the MOJi service. Otherwise, users shall be solely responsible for any damage caused to others or any harm to the reputation of MOJi, and shall bear the corresponding legal liability.
4. Users shall not delete, obscure, or alter copyright notices, trademarks, or other rights statements of MOJi without authorization. All designs, patterns, product names, and service names on this platform are trademarks and logos owned by MOJi or its affiliates. No one may use, copy, or exploit them for other purposes.
5. MOJi owns full intellectual property rights over its self-created content and other content acquired under exclusive licenses. Without MOJi's permission, no individual or entity may reproduce, distribute, provide viewing services, or engage in any other acts that infringe MOJi's intellectual property rights. MOJi will pursue legal liability against any infringers.
6. The intellectual property rights owned by MOJi shall not be transferred or affected by any use of the service by users.
7. The platform may contain user-generated content such as word definitions, example sentences, and other original contributions. KROSEA respects and encourages user-generated content. All original content published by users on this platform (including, but not limited to, word definitions, example sentences, answers, articles, and comments) is owned by the user. Users may authorize third parties to use such content in any manner without KROSEA's consent, provided that all conditions in Section 6.9 are met.
8. To promote knowledge sharing and dissemination, users grant KROSEA a free, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use all content they publish on this platform. The platform has the right to use such content in any of KROSEA's products or services, including, but not limited to, websites, applications, or other Internet products of KROSEA.
9. If a third party republishes user content from this platform for non-commercial purposes outside the platform, they must prominently indicate the original author’s name (or the user account name used on this platform), provide a link to the original content, state “Published on MOJi Dict,” and must not modify the work. For modifications or commercial use, the third party must obtain separate authorization from the user and use the content according to the user’s specified terms.
10. KROSEA reserves the right to review user-published content, but does not provide any express or implied warranties regarding any user content, nor does such content represent KROSEA's views or opinions. KROSEA has the right to handle infringing information based on relevant evidence, in accordance with the Tort Liability Law, the Regulations on the Protection of the Right to Network Dissemination of Information, and other applicable laws, regulations, and these service terms.

1. MOJi makes no representation or warranty as to the accuracy or reliability of any content, information, or advertisements contained in, obtained through, linked to, or downloaded from any sources related to the Service. MOJi does not guarantee any products, information, or materials purchased or obtained by users as a result of advertisements or promotions displayed through the Service. Users assume all risks associated with using the Service.
2. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, all products and services provided to you by MOJi are offered on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

3. MOJi makes no warranties regarding the following matters (including but not limited to):

   • Although the websites, client software, and other applications provided by MOJi have been tested by MOJi, due to technical limitations, MOJi cannot guarantee full compatibility with all other software, hardware, or systems. If incompatibility occurs, users may report the issue to MOJi for technical support. If the problem cannot be resolved, users may choose to uninstall or discontinue use of the MOJi service.
   • Use of the MOJi service involves Internet connectivity, which may be affected by various unstable factors. Causes such as force majeure, hacking, system instability, network interruptions, user shutdowns, or communication line failures may lead to interruption, termination, or failure of the MOJi service to meet user requirements. MOJi does not guarantee that the service will meet users' specific needs.
   • As MOJi client software may be downloaded and distributed via the Internet, MOJi cannot guarantee that software obtained from non-official sources or non-designated channels is free from computer viruses, Trojan horses, or other malicious software, and is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from such use.
   • MOJi makes no warranties regarding the security, reliability, timeliness, or performance of its services or products.
   • MOJi does not guarantee that any products, services, or other materials provided will meet users' expectations.
4. Users assume all risks associated with any materials downloaded or obtained through the MOJi service. Users are solely responsible for any damage to computer systems or loss of data resulting from such use.

5. MOJi shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business reputation, data, or other tangible or intangible losses arising from:

   • Full or partial unavailability of the MOJi service;
   • Any products, materials, or services purchased or obtained via the MOJi service;
   • Unauthorized use or alteration of user data;
   • Any other matters related to the MOJi service.
6. Users shall properly safeguard their account and password, enhance password security, and prevent account leakage or theft. MOJi shall not be responsible for any losses resulting from account leakage, theft, or voluntarily sharing account login information with third parties. MOJi shall not be liable for loss or reduction of account assets caused by telecommunications or network failures, computer malfunctions, system instability, or force majeure (e.g., server crashes) beyond MOJi's control.
7. Users understand and agree that downloading and using the MOJi service is done voluntarily and at their own risk, including but not limited to actions taken while using the service and any consequences arising therefrom. Users shall bear full responsibility for any computer system damage or data loss resulting from downloading or using the MOJi service.
8. MOJi shall not bear any legal responsibility for the loss or reduction of accounts or account assets caused by users providing false or inaccurate information, which cannot be recovered.

1. You understand and agree that MOJi may modify the content of the service or suspend, interrupt, or terminate the service based on adjustments to its business strategy.
2. You understand and agree that in the event of a merger, division, acquisition, or asset transfer involving MOJi, MOJi may transfer related assets under this service to a third party. MOJi may also, upon unilateral notice to you, transfer part or all of the services and corresponding rights and obligations under this Agreement to be operated or performed by a third party.
3. You understand and agree that if you violate applicable laws and regulations, this Agreement, or other platform rules, MOJi has the right to suspend or terminate the provision of services to you without prior notice.
4. Upon termination of the provision of services to you, MOJi has the right, in accordance with applicable laws, to delete your personal information or anonymize it. MOJi also reserves the right to retain other content and information you have provided on the platform in accordance with legally prescribed periods and methods.

1. You have the right to request the deletion of their MOJi account. You may submit an account deletion request through the MOJi client’s account deletion feature (except as otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations or by this Agreement and other platform rules).
2. Special Reminder: After deleting your MOJi account, you will no longer be able to log in to or use all products and services of MOJi and its affiliated companies with this account, including any service content provided in collaboration with third parties. MOJi will simultaneously terminate all products and services provided under this account. This may inevitably cause inconvenience to your after-sales rights protection. Once the account deletion is completed, the account cannot be restored. Please consider carefully before proceeding.

3. If you confirm that you wish to delete your MOJi account, you acknowledge and agree that although the UID will still exist after deletion, you will no longer hold any rights associated with the account, including but not limited to:

   • After deletion, you will no longer be able to log in or use any MOJi products or services with this account;
   • All content, information, data, and records generated through this account during its use of MOJi products and services will be deleted or anonymized. You will no longer be able to search for, access, retrieve, or use such content, including but not limited to account information (profile picture, nickname, signature, etc.), binding information, favorites, shares, and user-generated content;
   • All transaction records associated with the account will be cleared and cannot be recovered;
   • MOJi reserves the right to no longer provide any services associated with the account;
   • You agree that by deleting the account, you forfeit any unused rights and future expected benefits associated with the account during its use of MOJi products and services. MOJi will remove all such rights, including but not limited to: PRO feature extensions, any unexpired subscription benefits, various status rights within MOJi products or services, any purchased but unexpired online service content, and any other unused rights or future expected benefits.

4. Before submitting a request to delete your MOJi account, to protect your account security and property rights, you must first ensure that the account meets the following conditions, including but not limited to:

   • The account was registered by the user through official channels and complies with this Agreement and relevant regulations, and is the user’s personal membership account;
   • The account is in a secure state, including: not currently in the process of password recovery or phone number modification; no pending complaints or reports; and not in any other unsafe or abnormal status;
   • There are no pending transactions in the account;
   • If the account has subscribed to “continuous monthly/quarterly/annual” services, you have canceled such services;
   • Any other applicable conditions.
5. If you have fully read and understood Sections 9.2 and 9.3 and confirm that all conditions in Section 9.4 are met, you may submit an account deletion request. Customer service will review your account’s security status and your use of related products and services to determine whether your account meets the deletion conditions.
6. Once a MOJi account is deleted, any related user agreements or other rights and obligations documents you have signed with us will terminate (except for provisions that are agreed to continue in effect or as otherwise required by law). You also acknowledge and agree that deletion of your account does not reduce or exempt you from any responsibilities you may have incurred during the agreement period under applicable laws, regulations, agreements, or platform rules.

1. MOJi places great emphasis on protecting users’ personal information and privacy. “Personal information” refers to any information recorded electronically or by other means that can identify a specific natural person, either alone or in combination with other information, or reflect the activities of a specific natural person. When you download, install, launch, browse, register, log in, or use MOJi products or services, MOJi will process and protect your personal information in accordance with the provisions of the platform’s published MOJi Dictionary Privacy Policy Guidelines. Therefore, we encourage you to carefully read and fully understand the Privacy Policy in its entirety and, when necessary, make choices in accordance with the guidance provided therein.
2. You should use MOJi products or services only after carefully reading and fully understanding the MOJi Dictionary Privacy Policy Guidelines. If you do not agree with the contents of the policy, it may result in MOJi products or services not functioning properly or failing to achieve the intended service effects. Your use or continued use of MOJi products or services constitutes your full understanding and acceptance of the entire content of the MOJi Dictionary Privacy Policy Guidelines (including any updated versions).
3. If you have any questions regarding the MOJi Dictionary Privacy Policy Guidelines or your personal information (including inquiries or complaints), you may contact us through the contact methods published in the Privacy Policy.
4. MOJi Dictionary Privacy Policy Guidelines

1. MOJi places great emphasis on the protection of minors. If you are a minor, you should read this Agreement under the supervision and guidance of a guardian and use MOJi products or services only with your guardian’s consent.
2. Guardians should instruct their children on safe Internet practices and take preventive measures. MOJi does not encourage minors to make any purchases using its products or services. If a purchase is made, it should be conducted by the guardian or with the guardian’s explicit consent.
3. Regarding the protection of minors' privacy, MOJi will strictly implement the practices and methods described in the platform’s published MOJi Dictionary Privacy Policy Guidelines.

1. The validity, performance, interpretation, and dispute resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid due to conflict with the current laws of the People’s Republic of China, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. Both parties agree that, for the purpose of dispute resolution, the latest version of the MOJi Dictionary User Agreement agreed to by you shall prevail.
2. Any disputes arising from the content or enforcement of this Agreement should first be resolved through amicable negotiation. If negotiation fails, all parties agree to submit the dispute to the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission for arbitration in accordance with its rules. The arbitration award shall be final and binding on all parties.

1. MOJi reserves the right to modify this Agreement as necessary due to changes in national policies, technical conditions, product features, or other relevant factors, and will publish the revised Agreement.
2. Once the revised content is officially published, MOJi will notify you of the updates through appropriate means (including but not limited to pop-ups, emails, in-app messages, or website announcements) so that you can review the latest version of this Agreement in a timely manner.
3. You acknowledge that the title of this Agreement and the headings of its sections are for convenience and readability only and have no substantive meaning; they shall not be used to interpret the meaning of this Agreement. Due to multiple display locations on our platform, renaming the entire Agreement may take some time. During this period, the coexistence of two names does not affect the interpretation or validity of any clause in the Agreement.
4. This Agreement may exist in multiple languages, including Chinese and English. In case of any conflict between the Chinese version and other language versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
5. The revised content shall form an integral part of this Agreement, and you are expected to comply accordingly. If you disagree with the updated Agreement, please immediately stop logging in to or using MOJi and related services. Your continued login or use of MOJi and related services shall be deemed as your full reading, understanding, and acceptance of the updated Agreement and your consent to be bound by it.
